Bulk Solids Handling Valves (BSHV)
Overview
Purpose-built for powders, granules, pellets, and dry bulk materials, Duncan’s BSHVs ensure smooth shutoff, controlled dosing, and minimal degradation of the product. Designs prevent bridging and rat-holing and withstand frequent cycling.
Valve Types:
- Casted Slide Gate Valves (square/round ports) for bins and chutes.
- Fabricated Slide Gate Valves (square/rectangular ports) for bins and chutes.
- Swing gate valves for high temperature boiler bed ash drain applications.
- Special self-aligning metal seated swing gate valves for high temperature abrasive powder applications.
- Special slide gate with stationary and inflatable seals for maintaining air seals in pneumatic conveying systems.
- Custom built double airlock flap valve most of the abrasive applications.
- Actuation Options: Manual, pneumatic, electric, double-acting cylinders, with position indicators, proximity switches, and interlocks.
Performance Envelope (typical):
- Round Port Sizes: DN100 – DN600 (4” to 24”).
- Square Port Sizes: 100 × 100 mm to 4000 × 4000 mm (custom on request).
- Temp: –20°C to 250°C depending on elastomers and body materials
- Media: cement, fly ash, soda ash, silica, grain, sugar, plastic pellets, fertilizers
