Knife Gate Valves

Overview

Duncan’s Knife Gate Valves are engineered for reliable isolation in systems handling water and wastewater, mild slurries, viscous media, and abrasive fluids. The knife-edged gate slices through fibrous and solid-laden media to provide positive shutoff, reduced clogging, and low operating torque.

Duncan’s in India first valve manufacturer to have in house manufacturing of pneumatic cylinder, solenoid valves, air filter regulators, linear actuators and positioners.

Typical Configurations:

  • Unidirectional and bidirectional designs
  • Wafer, lugged, and flanged end connections
  • Rising / non-rising stem
  • Optional full-bore and open/closed bonnet variants
  • Actuation Options: Manual handwheel, lever, pneumatic cylinder, electric actuator, hydraulic—with limit switches, solenoid valves, and position feedback

Performance Envelope (typical):

  • Sizes: DN50 to DN2400 (2" to 96") and higher sizes on request.
  • Pressure Class: PN10–PN16 (up to Class 150) depending on model. Higher pressure class on request.
  • Media: slurries, pulp, ash, mining tailings, wastewater, gypsum, cement slurry, powders in all forms, pellets in all forms, pulverized coal etc.
